Harmony Day

For Harmony Day our class will be teaming up with Mr Palmer’s Class from Thiele Primary School. Our goal is to get together and leave a quality comment on a classroom blog locally, interstate or overseas. Hopefully we will learn a lot about what life is like for other students and open the lines of communication by asking questions and sharing about our experiences here on Campus. We will let you know how we get on in a future post.

Now for the task……

1. Refresh your own memory and instruct your buddy on what a quality comment is by following the link below.

http://yollisclassblog.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/learning-how-to-comment.html

2. Choose one or two blogs to explore and leave a quality comment. Don’t forget to include a greeting (Give some information about where you are from and what year level you are in), compliment the post, add new information and ask a question.

Click on this link for a list of blogs to choose from http://tab.bz/jbbvs

3. Take a screen shot of your comment and get a teacher to check it before submitting it.

4. Have fun!

If you finish early try these activities……

  1. Hi Mr Baldock and class,

What a great task to help the class practice quality commenting! I have just today been talking to my Grade 2s about how to leave a quality comment, and we also visited Mrs Yollis’ blog for some inspiration.

Writing quality comments is great for the bloggers, but is also excellent writing practice for the commenter too! Good luck with your task!

If you would like to leave some quality comments on our blog, we are at:

    From Mrs Montgomery

  2. I love this idea Mr Baldock and am looking forward to seeing the students’ results!
