Bones

For health this term we have been exploring bones. Last Friday our class took over the St. Joseph building while the Year 5s were on camp. We got into groups and had to trace around a person’s body onto the very large butcher’s paper we were given. We then had to correctly place all the bones inside the traced body. There were a few challenges and laughs along the way, but we all got there in the end. What do you think of our skeletons?

Perimeter Challenge

Mr Baldock gave us a Perimeter challenge this week. Using newspaper, sticky tape and a 1 metre ruler Mr Baldock asked us to create a shape with a particular perimeter. It was fun working together and problem solving to try and complete the challenge first. In the end it was Maya, Natalija, Verity, Phoebe and Oscar’s team that were the quickest at creating a shape with a perimeter of 4 metres. This is what each of the teams created below.
