Campus Multicultural Week ~ Hacky Sack

Today we met up with Mrs Penley’s Year 3 class from Pilgrim to share our Hacky Sack skills as part of the Campus Multicultural Week. Hacky Sack is a game that is popular in Asia. We have been learning how to play Hacky Sack for two weeks and it was a lot of fun playing with some new people and sharing our skills together.

Tennis Lessons

Yesterday we had tennis lessons with Shane. We had a lot of fun in the tennis lessons. We had two activities one was to bounce the ball on the net that Shane set up, the second activity was to have two people and one had a net and the other had a racquet. When we had four shots we swapped. When we were really good at it we used two racquets.

Grandparents and Special Friend’s Day

Thank you to all the Grandparents and Special Friends that came along to experience our assembly and have the opportunity to see some of the students work in their classroom.

The year 3/4/5 Team put on a song medley from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Our class had the job of representing the 90s. We chose the Macarena by Los del Rio, Vogue by Madonna, Even Better Than The Real Thing by U2 and 500 Miles by the Proclaimers. It’s not easy getting out in front of a big crowd to sing and dance, but my class did a brilliant job. Well Done 🙂

Class Liturgy ~ So Proud

proudLast Thursday morning our class celebrated our class Liturgy. Our theme for our Liturgy was, ‘Together we make a difference’. During our Liturgy we shared how we had made a difference throughout the year and the things we were proud of. Thank you to all the parents and friends that attended and supported our Liturgy. I would also like to thank all the students, who did a fantastic job. I am very proud of all of you.

Light the Night ~ Thank you

Light_the_Night

I would like to thank all the families and friends that have supported ‘Team Jan’ by way of donations, being there on the night or your words of encouragement. Your help and support is greatly appreciated and the money raised will go to a worthy cause. Light the night was a huge success. We all enjoyed the walk so much that our team was the last one to leave the course. Our team has raised so far a total of $4,503. This is the 37th highest amount raised by a team in Australia and the 7th highest in Adelaide. It’s not too late to make a donation. Follow this link to do so http://my.leukaemiafoundation.org.au/jan2.
