Jump Rope for Heart

We had a lot of fun presenting our routines at the Jump Rope for Heart Assembly. We hope you enjoy the slide show below of all the action.

Football Clinic with West Adelaide

On Monday our class had a football clinic. There were some men from the West Adelaide Football Club that were teaching us football. Some of the football skills we practiced were passing, kicking goals, football warm ups and marking. We did it up on the middle oval.

On monday our class went to a football clinic on the top oval. The football clinic was put on by the West Adelaide Football Club. They were teaching us how to play football. They taught us how to kick and hand pass. They taught us how to mark and kick a goal and run really fast. The West Adelaide Football Club gave our class a football poster to hang up in our classroom.

Pop Stick Run

For fitness once a week we do a ‘Pop Stick Run’. We have measured out a course for us to use and for every lap we run, we get a pop stick. We run for 10 minutes. We then tally our results back in the classroom on an excel spreadsheet. For fun we are seeing how far we can run in 10 minutes as a whole class. We are pretending that we are running in a giant relay, so we have added all our distances together and plotting it on Google Earth. For now we are seeing if we can run to Melbourne. This week our class ran a combined total of 31.8 km. You can see how far this is on our embedded Google Earth map below.
