Science: Animal Classification

In Science we have been busy learning how to classify animals. We started off completing an activity where we had to classify lots of pictures of animals into groups. The first two groups we needed to sort our animals into were vertebrates and invertebrates. Vertebrates are animals with backbones and Invertebrates are animals without backbones. We then needed to sort our vertebrates group into a further five groups. A description of these five groups can be found below.

Football Clinic with West Adelaide

On Monday our class had a football clinic. There were some men from the West Adelaide Football Club that were teaching us football. Some of the football skills we practiced were passing, kicking goals, football warm ups and marking. We did it up on the middle oval.

On monday our class went to a football clinic on the top oval. The football clinic was put on by the West Adelaide Football Club. They were teaching us how to play football. They taught us how to kick and hand pass. They taught us how to mark and kick a goal and run really fast. The West Adelaide Football Club gave our class a football poster to hang up in our classroom.

Science: Water

In Science we looked at water. We had to describe what water looks like, smells like, feels like, sounds like and tastes like.

This is what I came up with…..

Water

Water looks clear and wet.

Water feels wet and cold.

Water smells like nothing.

Water sounds like the sea.

Water tastes cold.
