Tomorrow is our very first Spelling lesson for the year. There will be 3 spelling groups in my class and Mrs Molloy and Daldry will have 2 spelling groups in their class. I’m asking students in my class to nominate a name for their spelling group by leaving a comment on this post with your nomination. Last year we had the ‘Lightning Bolts’, ‘Thunderbooks’ and ‘Marvin the Martian’ groups. Nominations close this Wednesday @ 5pm. After this I will do another post asking you all to vote for your spelling group name. I’m looking forward to reading your nominations.
This week it is our turn to be the focus of our Quadblogging buddies. We would like to try something new this week and hope that our three Quadblogging classes can get involved. Over on the far right of our blog there is a ‘Send Voicemail’ tab (Pictured below is a photo of our blog and circled in red is the location of the tab). By clicking this tab you can send us a voicemail. We would really love some Voicemail questions from you. You might have a question about Australia, Adelaide, Our Class, subjects we do, facilities at our school or our blog. We would love to hear from you and answer your questions. To help us out with answering your questions could you please let us know who you are (first names only) and what school you are from before asking your question. Our class is waiting to hear from you.
Avatars are a way to have a graphical presence on the internet without using your photo. We have constructed our avatars that we will be using on our blog for this year. Check out below what we came up with.

This year our class will be involved in QuadBlogging. What is QuadBlogging? Put simply it is four class blogs getting together to support each other with commenting and making other interactions possible via our classroom blogs. Below is a short YouTube clip explaining the process.

Today is book day. I have included a link below to the note that you will take home giving you instructions and information as to what to do and expect with your child’s stationery and books. Most of our books will be covered at school, so hopefully this reduces your workload and you can enjoy what remains of the holidays. Good luck with it all.
